
Overview

This tasks involved in this position include assistance with:
Studio cleaning
Rental/Inventory management
Event eco-resolution
Floral pick up & processing
Event set up & strike
Floral production
Task specific training will be provided for those unfamiliar with eco-friendly floral studios.
We are accepting applications for a team member who is comfortable taking leadership on tasks and projects, uses proactive communication, advocates for themselves and others, and values respect in the workplace.
The new employee will be both creative and organized, be imaginative and able to execute on building/bringing ideas to life, and treats others kindly in the process.
Our company is relationship based in the sense that we treat each other, other vendors, clients, and the environment reciprocally, and pay close attention to the quality of care we provide.
We especially want someone who can bring organizational skills, but also be an active part of our efforts to grow intersectional environmentalist practices in our industry & community.
There will be opportunities for additional work if this person has skills in:
Upcycling
Pottery
Growing/Garden flowers/plants
About the Position
We are offering a position with flexible hours averaging out to approximately 18 hours/week usually on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and weekends. The position is as an employee (not an independent contractor). Most work will be performed at our studio in Forest Park, IL (accessible by green & blue lines). Hauling decor up and down stairs is a normal part of the job, and this job will often include outdoor hours and manual labor.
Working with flower and plants is beautiful & fun - but also hard work!
