Studio Steward

Overview

Highly collaborative work environment that relies on individuals to captain self-directed projects is hiring a studio steward to manage our studio space through the busy wedding season. Maintaining an organized and tidy workspace directly impacts the experience of both staff and clients.

We are offering a position with flexible hours averaging out to approximately 12 hours/week usually on Tuesday, and Wednesday. The position is as an employee (not an independent contractor). Most work will be performed at our studio in Forest Park, IL (accessible by green & blue lines). Hauling decor up and down stairs is a normal part of the job. Working with flowers and plants is beautiful & fun - but also hard work!

About the Position

Tasks involved in this position include:
- Cleaning decor rentals post event
- Managing composting & recycling
- Floral pick up & processing
- Recycling wax (making new candles)
- Rental & Inventory management
- Cleaning the studio (sweeping, mopping, etc.)

Task specific training will be provided for those unfamiliar with eco-friendly floral studios.
