
Overview
Warm & respectful working environment that is highly collaborative yet relies on each individual to captain self-directed projects looking to hire a principal floral designer for luxury, eco-friendly weddings and events.
Individual must have a strong background in:
Efficiently making wedding floral: personal flowers including bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, crowns, centerpieces, etc.
Eco-friendly construction methods for floral arrangements and installations
Construction of on-site floral installations including arches, hanging arrangements, and bespoke pieces
Active problem solving for event specific challenges
Able to quickly prioritize activities and manage time for production

The new employee will be both creative and organized, be imaginative and able to execute on building/bringing ideas to life, and treats others kindly in the process.

We especially want someone who can bring the practical plant and florals skills, but also be an active part of our efforts to grow intersectional environmentalist practices in our industry & community.
About the Position
This tasks involved in this position include assistance with:
- Floral pick up & processing
- Floral production
- Personal floral delivery
- Event set up & strike
- Event eco-resolution
- Weekly plant care
There will be opportunities for additional work if this person has skills in:
- Upcycling Crafts & Building
- Pottery
- Growing/Garden flowers/plants
We are offering a position with flexible hours averaging out to approximately 25 hours/week usually between Wed-Sun each week. The position is as an employee (not an independent contractor). Most work will be performed at our studio in Forest Park, IL (accessible by green & blue lines). Hauling decor up and down stairs is a normal part of the job, and this job will often include outdoor hours and manual labor.
